Day 1

Bus

Ha Noi - Hai Phong - Cat Ba

8.30 am: Leave Hanoi for Hai Phong.

Breakfast in Hai Phong. Take a 10 minutes hydrofoil trip to Cat Ba Island.

Upon arrival in Cat Ba we check into the hotel and spend the rest of the day to explore the town or relax on Cat Co beaches.

Overnight at your chosen hotel on Cat Ba Island.

Day 2

Cruise

Trek Cat Ba National Park - Overnight on a junk in Halong Bay (B, L, D)

Breakfast in the hotel before taking a beautiful bus ride along the coast to reach Cat Ba national park.

Today we will have a long trek through dense jungle to reach the peaceful village of Viet Hai. Short break at Frog Lake.

We will have lunch in a local house in Viet Hai village.

After lunch we walk to Viet Hai Quay for a cruise on Lan Ha Bay.

We will meet our overnight junk in Halong Bay late afternoon.

Dinner and overnight on the junk.

Day 3

Full day Kayaking Ha Long Bay (B, L, D)

After breakfast on the junk we start paddling to Van Chai Floating village and then continue paddling to Dark Cave. Tide permitting, we explore this amazing cave by kayak. The cave is a 200m long, dark tunnel thrusting through a limestone mountain. The tunnel is the only entry to a secluded and beautiful lagoon. Lunch on our support boat in front of the cave. After lunch we paddle to Ba Trai Dao Lagoon, along a stunning and fairly rough sea channel, to explore its beautiful beaches. Continue paddling to Lan Ha Bay, which is smaller than Halong Bay but much more interesting with lots of secluded beaches.

Cruise back to Halong Bay for dinner and overnight on the junk.

Day 4

Cruise

Ha Long Bay - Ha Noi (B, L)

Breakfast on the junk.

Enjoy the sundeck of the junk while we navigate around the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay on the way back to Halong City.

Lunch on the junk before reach Halong Harbor for our drive back to Hanoi.

On the way back to Hanoi we will have a stop in Dong Trieu for refreshment and visit a pottery village.

Arrive in Hanoi around 4.00pm. Trip completes in Hanoi.
