Vinh Moc (Vịnh Mốc) is a tunnel complex in Quang Tri, Vietnam. During the Vietnam War it was strategically located on the border of North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The tunnels were built to shelter people from the intense bombing in Vinh Linh county of Quang Tri Province in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone. It was constructed in several stages beginning in 1966 and used until early 1972. The complex grew to include wells, kitchens, rooms for each family and spaces for healthcare. Around 60 families lived in the tunnels; as many as 17 children were born inside the tunnels.
Visit Hien Luong bridge, Ben Hai river, the 17th parallel: which marked the former border between North and South Vietnam from 1954 to 1972.

13:00 Afternoon, continue to visit Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.
Located on one bank of the Thach Han river, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel was once referred to as the site of bloody battles during the US war. Also, the site was a sacred place where dozens of thousands of Vietnamese soldiers sacrificed their lives for the nation independence. Because of carrying certain meanings in the Vietnamese history and contributing to the glorious historical chapter, it now becomes a special hotspot drawing more and more domestic and international tourists to visit.
Next stop to visit La Vang Marian Sanctuary. The sanctuary is referred to as the basilica of Our Lady of La Vang and also the significant worship haven of the Catholics, legally recognized by the Vietnamese government.
